Easiest fall foods to make
It is quite common that once the temperature drops and the cold weather sets in, we don’t have the energy to do much or anything at all. And this includes cooking your own meal.
However, when it’s wintertime, you won’t really have a choice but to cook up some warm food to keep your body temperature in check during the cold weather. And no, you do not need to prepare a fancy meal just to keep you warm.
You can start with the easiest foods to make such as a hot breakfast of oats or other types of porridge. In addition to keeping you full and warm, oats are also full of other nutrients.
You can also boil some sweet potatoes and other root vegetables which raises your body temperature. Aside from this, sweet potatoes also provide fiber and other nutrients to your body.
Another quick and easy food to make is an omelette which just basically requires you to:
- Mix two eggs with two tablespoons of milk and salt and pepper to taste
- Heat some butter into a frying pan
- Add the egg mixture
- After one minute, stir and reduce heat
- Sprinkle with cheese if you prefer and cook for two to three minutes
- Fold in half and serve.
Another very easy food to make to keep you warm is soup. Yes, you can buy cans or cartons of soups but a bowl of homemade soup will never disappoint. Another food that is surprisingly easy to make is risotto. And of course, let’s not forget everyone’s favorite: mac and cheese.

What is the best comfort food?
When the weather is too cold, all we want to do is to curl up in our blanket and watch a movie while munching on food that makes us satisfied and happy or in other words, comfort foods.
And we are not one to judge on one’s preference when it comes to comfort food because in retrospect, there is no bad comfort food.
However, not all our comfort foods are the same but there are the most well-known and loved ones such as chocolates, pizza, mac and cheese, burgers, and more.
But to know which is the number one comfort food in the US, Harris Poll conducted a survey wherein 2,252 American adults are surveyed to list down their top comfort foods. And the top comfort food result is none other than pizza!
Nearly 15 percent of the 2,252 adults surveyed by Harris listed pizza as their top comfort food, more than twice as many as said chocolate (7 percent) or ice cream (7 percent) and more still than said mac and cheese (5 percent), chips (4 percent), hamburgers (3 percent), steak (3 percent), or either popcorn, pasta or Mexican food (2 percent apiece).
