Season and flavor your chicken before it goes on the grill. This means you can marinade your chicken or rub some seasonings beforehand so you can just relax with your guests while your chicken is grilling!
You also need to prepare your grill immediately. This means that you need to clean the grates, preheat, and add a little oil before cooking so that the chicken will not stick.
You do not want to burn the skin of your chicken too much so it is best to cook over medium, indirect heat.
While your chicken is grilling, it is wise to put a cover on it so you will not waste fuel and will make your chicken thoroughly cooked quickly.
When the chicken is almost thoroughly cooked, you can then add your sauce.
